Ways to protect the floor from moisture

In order to protect the floor in the house as much as possible from moisture accumulation, it is necessary to carry out waterproofing work. There are several options for performing the task. The first method is simpler and less laborious. Its main essence is to raise the floor level (maximum height can be 60 cm). In order to execute the floor protection efficiently and quickly, you need to adhere to such a technology. First, the base of the floor must be covered with gravel, the layer of which should reach 20 cm. Wet clay is tightly tamped on it. After its complete drying, you can proceed to pouring a concrete mixture. Then, two glued layers of roofing material is laid on a dried surface. The final step will be the creation of a cement screed and laying the flooring.

The second option is more reliable, but it needs to be spent much more physical effort on it. First of all, the flooring of the floor needs to be cut and well tamped with a layer of earth under it. Next, pour a layer of gravel (40 cm), on which put a spike -shaped membrane. Then a layer of polyethylene film is spread and the reinforcement is laid out. After this, a concrete floor is made, the height of which should be from 10 to15 cm. The roofing material is laid on the resulting surface and a cement screed is poured.
