Restoration of the enamel of the bath

Cast iron and steel baths are traditionally covered with enamel, which over time is covered with cracks, and in some places and breaks down. You can restore enamel on the bath in the simplest way – apply it on top of the old. For this, the surface is degraded and again covered with enamel with a brush. Despite the simplicity and accessibility of the method, it loses popularity – The new coating does not cover all the old cracks and dries for a long time. A more modern way – Imprint an acrylic form into a bath. This is done very simply, especially since the form of acrylic inserts meets the standards of the production of metal baths. The disadvantages should include insufficient versatility of the liner due to restriction in the form.

One of the last solutions – Using bulk acrylic or stacquille. The material is applied by a specialist, it is poured on the corners and edges of the bathtub, allowing it to work out and gradually freeze on the surface. This ensures the penetration of acrylic into all enamel cracks and a reliable clutch on the surface. The bathtub restored in this way serves for a long time, it is enough not to scratch the surface, although scratches are easily shut up using grinding and applying the repair layer with a brush.
